Quite a few sites are beginning to drop “Remember me on this computer” checkbox and rely on the user to log off.
This is a mistake simply because we can’t rely on users to log off when they are using a public computer. I lost track of how many Gmail and Facebook accounts I found left open at my University’s computer lab.
At the very least leave the “Remember me” checkbox checked by default if you want your app to automatically remember your users.
